On September 2, the third production facility in Turkey was opened in Bahla in the Black Sea.

This is the first Japanese company to invest in production in the Black Sea region.

Kagome: Production in Turkey

In 1987, a seed production and sales company, TAT seedling (Sumitomo Corporation, Kaneko seedling, Kochi Holding, TAT Foods invested),

In Bursa and Izmir districts, the company produces vegetable seedlings mainly made of tomatoes and sells them in Turkey.

In 2014, the company name of TAT seedlings was changed to United Genetics Turkey.

Together with our consolidated subsidiary United Genetics, we have integrated our overseas seedling business.

This time: Bahla production facility

The first large-scale commercial grafting facility in the Black Sea with the latest technology and a scale of 28.8 hectares.

Annual production at the company’s three plants will increase to more than 300 million.

The company plans to create up to several hundred new jobs.

In March 2019, seedling production in Bahla will start and will be shipped throughout Turkey.

Bahla: “Simple plain”

the western Bahla region has been a “Simple plain” since ancient times even in the Black Sea.

It is suitable for producing agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, hazelnuts, and tobacco, and for livestock raising.
