Announced “Asia Monsoon Model Plant Factory System (AMPFS)”.

This time, we have developed an efficient cultivation technology for vegetables and fruits.

Using this technology, the cost per ha can be reduced to less than 200 million yen.

Dutch greenhouse cultivation:

On the other hand, a Dutch greenhouse cultivation facility, which is famous for efficient cultivation of vegetables and fruits, costs 600 to 800 million yen per ha.

Productivity and quality of Japanese cultivation:

Sufficient results were also obtained in terms of productivity and quality of tomatoes, strawberries, paprika, etc.

Tomato: Yield 40 tons per 10a, sugar content 6%,
Strawberries: Yield 4.1 tons per 10a, sugar content 10%,
Paprika: Yield 10 tons per 10a, sugar content 8%, etc.

Sufficient results were also obtained in terms of productivity and quality.

AMPFS demonstration experiment:

A large-scale demonstration was conducted at the’JIRCAS Tropical and Islands Research Institute’in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture.

Initially, I was able to achieve the goals I set.

“Five years of research from 2016” will be completed at the end of March 2021.

Compare greenhouse cultivation methods:

Dutch style:

Use a wire stretched on a high place such as a roof.

Cultivate with the stems of plants such as tomatoes standing high.

House facilities with higher ceilings are required than before.
However, there are many typhoons and storms in the Asian monsoon region.
Construction of a Dutch greenhouse cultivation facility is expensive to ensure strength.

AMPFS formula:

Costs were kept down by using a greenhouse with a height of 2 to 3 m, which is the same as conventional greenhouse cultivation.

Adopting new materials and sensor control,
Introduction of cloud management method, etc.
Targeting “improvement of cultivation efficiency and quality beyond Dutch greenhouse cultivation”.

Panasonic:

Cloud “Smart Vegetable Garden’s Cloud” and
Cloud agricultural management system “Cultivation Navi”,

Two cloud systems:

If you use the two, you can also give guidance on cultivation in remote areas.

It can strongly support Japanese quality cultivation in Asian monsoon regions such as Southeast Asia.

Mitsubishi Chemical:

Mitsubishi Chemical has developed “Large seedling raising technology for tomatoes”.

“Stable house cultivation in a hot and humid environment” is possible.

Citizen LED:

The conventional seedling terrace uses “a fluorescent lamp as a light source with four shelves.”

Therefore, “the number of shelves is set to 3 and Citizen Electronics’ LED is used as the light source.”

This has made it possible to raise high-quality tomato seedlings.
