Jerusalem City: Light Rail

A bid was made for the construction of a new line (green line) and extension of the existing line (red line).

A major Israeli general contractor, Shapile Engineering Industry, and a consortium of CAF Group, a Spanish rolling stock manufacturer.

Jerusalem Transportation: Master Plan Team (JTMT)

The results of the tender were announced on August 7.

The winning bid is estimated at 10 billion shekels (about 300 billion yen, 1 shekel = about 30 yen), which is the highest amount in bidding in Israel.
