Completed the development of the latest FCV-related technology and started supplying it.

Started supplying newly developed parts for Toyota’s new FCV “MIRAI”.

Toyoda Gosei:

It incorporates technology to make the surface thinner and maintain its strength.

The Inabe Plant will produce a third high-pressure hydrogen tank to be mounted on the rear of the new Mirai.

At the same time, it is smaller and lighter.
The amount of hydrogen filled with respect to the tank mass was increased by 10%, which contributed to the extension of the cruising range.

Denso:

An air compressor that delivers the oxygen required to drive an FCV.

We have newly developed a hydrogen circulation pump that circulates “unreacted hydrogen and water generated after producing electricity”.

The position of the air compression roller can be changed, and the number of revolutions is increased to the same level as a turbocharger.

The compression efficiency is improved by 24% compared to the conventional one.
35% lighter than before
Achieved 45% smaller size than before.
It is planned to be deployed not only in commercial vehicles but also in stationary FC generators and ships, with a view to expanding its adoption.

Aichi Steel:

We have newly developed high-strength stainless steel used for hydrogen filling ports.

In the past, molybdenum, a rare metal, was indispensable for increasing strength, but carbon, which is an inexpensive material, was mixed with the material.

Overcome the weaknesses of materials that become brittle due to hydrogen.

While reducing costs by about 10% compared to conventional models
The same strength as before was secured.
