SPring-8: Success in visualization of oxidation reaction and locus-Communications Chemistry
RIKEN: Synchrotron Radiation Research Center:
Hokuriku Advanced Institute of Science and Technology:
“Fusion of 3D radiation / nano imaging and data science” succeeded.
We succeeded in visualizing the trace of the oxidation reaction that occurs in the oxygen storage / release material [4] particles.
Development of 3D-HXSP:
We developed “3D Hard X-ray Spectrography (3D-HXSP) method”.
First, we combine hard X-ray ptychography [1] and computer tomography (CT) [2].
By combining them, we were able to obtain the three-dimensional spatially resolved X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) [3] of the material sample.
reaserch result:
This research result can be expected to be applied to the analysis of nanostructures and chemical states of various advanced functional materials.
Large synchrotron radiation facility: “SPring-8” [5]
Measurements were made at the large synchrotron radiation facility “SPring-8” [5].
While maintaining the high spatial resolution of Tychography,
Acquisition of three-dimensional spatially resolved XAFS spectra of cerium-containing sample particles
Three-dimensional space visualization of valence distribution
Succeeded.
