South Korea: “Unused patents” is a big problem: Waste of taxes
–The problem of life and death as it is-
Korea:
The ratio of R & D expenses is 4.53% of GDP).
Compete for first and second place in the world with 4.94% of Israel.
Both governments are focusing on research and development projects.
Israel:
It was reborn as a founding country with the support of R & D expenses by the Innovation Agency.
Thousands of R & D infrastructure startups, including Mobileye, are active.
Korea:
With a GDP ratio of 100 billion dollars, the number of patent applications is 7779, which is the highest in the world.
70% of government research expenses are concentrated on universities and government-affiliated research institutes.
“Dead patent”:
However, the utilization rate of patents is only 33.7%.
Of the 10 patents of universities and research institutes, 7 are “dead patents” and are not used.
Short-sighted single-shot support:
The South Korean government says, “Public servants who escape responsibility will only provide shredded support.”
In other words, short-sighted one-shot support is being sporadic and has not led to results.
