Sony: Joint development of satellite by Todai/JAXA: CubeSat “AQT-D”

Sony/University of Tokyo/JAXA:

On August 5, we signed a joint development and technology demonstration contract for the creation of the “Space Impressive Experience Business”.

Announced to start joint development of “artificial satellite equipped with Sony camera device”.

A camera system that can be remotely controlled from the ground in real time will be built on an artificial satellite.

Sony:

Utilizes technologies such as imaging, sensing, and communication to develop the camera part of artificial satellites and build systems.

University of Tokyo:

Supporting the development of basic functions and propulsion systems for artificial satellites,

JAXA:

We will support technical support and examination of business and R&D plans formulated by Sony.
