NTT: Success in 35 wavelength multiplex transmission-1Tb/s optical signal per wavelength
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT):
developed proprietary high-accuracy calibration technology for multilevel signals and ultra-wideband optical front-end integrated device technology.
Succeeded in generating an optical signal of 1 Tb / s (120 giga baud as symbol rate, high quality 64 QAM with high modulation multi-degree) class.
The world’s first transmission of 800 km was successfully achieved by multiplexing 35 wavelengths of this (news release)
IoT and 5G Services:
Further increases in capacity are required for backbone optical communication networks.
35 wavelength multiplex transmission technology:
This time, AMUX and modulator driver developed
Fabrication of multi-functional built-in optical front end module: Hybrid integration of optical modulator (InP MZM)
Succeeded in generating QPSK optical signal up to 192 gigabo and 8 QAM optical signal up to 160 gigabo.
will be adopted for optical transmission experiments in the future.
Details of this technology:
Presented at OFC 2019 (The Optical Networking and Communication Conference & Exhibition) to be held in San Diego, USA from March 3
