Sony: France Prophesee, Stacked event-based sensor : High reso/high speed

Sony: French Prophesee

Sony Japan and Prophesee of France jointly developed a stacked event-based vision sensor.

The industry’s smallest pixel size realizes the industry’s highest HDR characteristics.

Stacked event base: Vision sensor

Asynchronous detection of luminance change of each pixel,
Output only changed data in combination with coordinate and time information,
High-efficiency, high-speed, low-latency data output is possible.

Joint development: function sharing

Sony Japan:

Uses Cu-Cu (copper-copper) connection owned by Sony.

Achieves a compact, low-illumination, high-sensitivity stacked CMOS image sensor.

French Prophesee:

Uses Metavision® technology owned by Prophesee of France.

High-time resolution, high-output data reading, event-based method / vision sensing realized.

Combining the technologies of the two companies,

With low power consumption
Small
High resolution and high speed,
Vision sensor with high time resolution.
