KAGRA, a large cryogenic gravity wave telescope, has begun observation.
KAGRA is

Under the cooperation of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan
It was built in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, in collaboration with researchers from domestic and overseas research institutions and universities.
After completion in the fall of 2019, test driving was being continued to increase sensitivity.
On February 25, 2020, continuous operation for gravitational wave observation started.
