NTT DATA has been providing disaster prevention information distribution / emergency bulletin mail on the LPWA network since 2007.
QZSS: ‘Michibiki’ satellite link
This time, the “Disaster Reporting Service” using the QZSS Michibiki satellite line will be provided from April 2020.
Utilization of Michibiki in broadcasting equipment for disaster prevention wireless systems is the first case in Japan.
Conventionally, emergency bulletin emails are distributed using mobile communication networks.
This time, a satellite line Michibiki receiver is newly installed on outdoor speakers.
Even if the government building or ground line is unavailable in an emergency, Michibiki will be able to automatically deliver disaster prevention information directly to outdoor speakers.
