Chengdu Sake Promotion:

JETRO hosted the “Chengdu Sake Promotion / Business Meeting”.

It was held at a hotel in Chengdu on December 4th.

Six companies and local governments from companies and local governments based in coastal areas such as Beijing and Shanghai exhibited.

In the inland area including Chengdu, a total of 73 types of brands with few sales channels were exhibited.

Sake Basic Knowledge Course:

“Basic knowledge of sake” by a sake master,
Classification and manufacturing process of sake,
A fish that goes well with it is explained,
The visitors were enthusiastic about listening.

Questionnaire survey:

JETRO conducted a questionnaire to the visitors.

Characteristics of sake preferred by Chengdu citizens

(1) Sourness,
(2) Fruity,
(3) Slight carbonic acid can be mentioned.

Chengdu, Sichuan Cuisine:

The home of Sichuan cuisine represented by Mapo tofu.

It seems that the sweet and sour and refreshing flavor that harmonizes with the Sichuan cuisine “Mala” is preferred.

There was also strong interest in brands with colors such as pink and brands in fashionable packages.
