It was 140 meters long, 8400 tons, and ran aground.

Japan Coast Guard rescuing Chinese crew from stranded cargo ship
The Japan Coast Guard
is rescuing Chinese crew members from a cargo ship that ran aground in Okinawa Prefecture, southern Japan.
No injuries have been reported.
Officials say
the ship notified a patrol boat Tuesday morning that it was stranded near Ishigaki Island.
They say the rescue operation
is ongoing amid rough conditions and the 19 Chinese crew members are being hauled up by helicopter.
A powerful cold air mass has caused violent gusts and turbulent seas in the area.
NHK’s camera on Ishigaki
has spotted the helicopter hovering above the ship, which is being pummeled by rough waves.
Coast guard officials say the ship could sink and are expediting the rescue operation.
