Japan: 8 passenger car manufacturers’ June results: World production results

-Global production decreased by 33%-

World production record:

Eight passenger car manufacturers announced on the 30th.

First half (Jan-June):

In the first half of 2020 (January-June), the total number of vehicles produced by the eight companies totaled 9,459,150 units, a decrease of 33.2% from the same period of the previous year.

It has fallen below 10 million units due to plant shutdowns and production adjustments due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

The decrease in the first half is the second consecutive year.

June single month:

On the other hand, in June, the number decreased to 1,665,764 units, a decrease of 25.5% from the same month the year before, which was a decrease from May (a decrease of 61.8% from the same month last year).
