Germany halts Chinese purchase of composites company .
The German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has halted the proposed acquisition of aerospace composites company Cotesa by a state-owned Chinese industrial group, pending an investigation, according to reports in the Financial Times .
News of the deal, and of the German government’s potential issue with it, first broke in late December, when it emerged that the China Iron & Steel Research Institute had agreed to purchase Cotesa in a bid to integrate it into the supply chain of state aircraft manufacturer Comac.
