COVID-19: FUJIFILM’s fully automatic PCR test kit: no skill required, reduced to 75 minutes
FUJIFILM:
On May 8, he reported that he has developed a reagent for PCR test that can be fully automated just by setting the sample on the device.
It seems that the inspection time can be reduced from about 4 to 6 hours to about 75 minutes.
It will be released for domestic use in May.
No need for skilled inspectors:
Most PCR tests are manual, but there are not enough skilled inspectors.
If automation progresses, it will lead to an increase in the number of inspections that are pointed out to be insufficient.
