3D Printer: GE accepts the world’s largest metal 3D printers – prototype / large automotive parts

[Tokyo, October 15, 2018] GE Additive announced today that it received an order from Koiwai Co., Ltd. (Location: Kanagawa Prefecture) for the world’s largest and large-sized metal 3D printer “X LINE 2000R”.

The order for this product is the first in Japan.

X LINE 2000R will be introduced in February 2019, a newly constructed factory in Miyagi Prefecture of Koiwai.

Large-sized parts, trial production and mass production for the automobile industry which was difficult with conventional small and medium size machines are started.
