Insect repellent sheet: AIST, film development for agriculture – Transparent and 99% UV shielded

National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and the Institute for Forest Research and Development, Forestry and Forestry Development Institute developed a film for agriculture consisting of plant-derived polymer “lignin” and clay components.
The film is transparent and shields 99% of ultraviolet light.
However, it passes water.
Utilizing the habit of insects gathering in the ultraviolet rays prevents pest infestation.
