1. Crude Oil Trends

In September, crude oil imports amounted to 15.12 million kl, 98.0% of the same month last year, falling below the previous year for 2 consecutive months. Looking in descending order of import volume,

(1) Saudi Arabia (5.22 million kl, 114.6% compared with the same month of the previous year)

(2) United Arab Emirates (4.2 million kl, 101.1% same)

(3) Kuwait (1.31 million kl, 120.5% same)

(4) Qatar (109 million kl, 71.8% same)

(5) Iran (1,300,000 kl, 68.9% same).

Incidentally, this month’s dependence on the Middle East was 89.1%, up 2.0 points from the same month last year, exceeding the previous year for the second consecutive month.

2. Production of fuel oil

Production of fuel oil reached 14.45 million kl, 99.0% of the same month the year before, falling below the previous year for 2 consecutive months. Looking at oil types, gasoline and naphtha exceeded the same month of the previous year, but jet fuel oil, kerosene, light oil, A heavy oil, and B · C heavy oil fell below the same month of the previous year.

3. Import and export of fuel oil

Fuel oil imports were 2.08 million kl, 101.6% of the same month the year before, exceeding the previous year for 2 consecutive months. Exports were 3.27 million kl, 104.6% compared to the same month in the previous year, exceeding the previous year for 3 consecutive months.

4. Domestic sales of fuel oil

Domestic sales of fuel oil reached 13.51 million kl, an increase of 100.6% compared with the same month last year, exceeding the previous year for the first time in 4 months. In terms of oil type, naphtha, kerosene and light oil exceeded the same month of the previous year, but gasoline, jet fuel oil, A heavy oil and B · C heavy oil fell below the same month of the previous year.

5. Stock of fuel oil

Inventory of fuel oil was 101.4 million kl, 94.2% compared with the same month of the previous year, falling below the previous year for 2 consecutive months. In terms of oil type, gasoline and A heavy oil exceeded the same month of the previous year, but naphtha, jet fuel oil, kerosene, light oil and B / C heavy oil fell below the same month of the previous year.
