Million-Dollar Creep: Neighborhoods Crossing Over
Over the past year, as prices continued to rise, the median home value in more than 100 neighborhoods crossed into $1 million territory.
More than 3,000,000 U.S. homes are currently worth $1 million or more, about 3.6 percent of all homes nationwide
– more than double the share of million-dollar U.S. homes in 2012 (1.5 percent).
And as the number of million-dollar homes has grown, so too has the number of million-dollar neighborhoods.
