Hitachi: To deliver new 165 vehicles to Abellio UK: £ 400 million (¥ 53.2 billion) contract

Hitachi’s UK subsidiary Hitachi Rail (CEO: Alistair Dormer)
We will supply 165 new vehicles (33 trains) of the intercity high-speed rail that runs the Middle East of the United Kingdom.
We received an offer for a supply contract of £ 400 million (approximately 53.2 billion yen) from the railway operator Abellio UK.
This time: Delivery vehicle
Operation started in 2022.
It is supplied to existing routes that travel through the East Midlands region of the Middle East.
Sheffield,
Chesterfield,
Nottingham,
Derby,
Leicester,
Lincoln,
Travel through the main cities of the East Midlands Main Line and Kettering, London.
The total length of 1 formation (5 cars) is about 120 meters.
Air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and the latest passenger screens are available to meet the needs of passengers and locals on existing routes.
Catering service is also provided in rooms of both First Class and Standard Class.
