Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Visa application for Chinese tourists: computerization for inbound

Japan’s Foreign Ministry:
On July 29, at seven Chinese missions in April 2020, it announced that it would accept a visa application for Chinese tourists online.
Online reception: Target of application
A Chinese group’s personal and individual tourism primary visa simplifies the visa application procedure and leads to an increase in inbound.
From July 30th, we have officially launched “acceptance of online application for group tourism primary visa from all travel agencies”.
In the future, it will also be accepted online for applying for a personal tourism primary visa.

The number of tourists visiting from Japan and the amount of consumption are top.
The number of foreign tourists visiting Japan in 2018 is 838,100, with the largest number of Chinese by country and region.
In June 2019, the number was 88,700, an increase of 15.7% over the same month last year, a record high.
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism:
The amount of foreign travel travel to China by China during the April-June quarter of 2019 is ¥ 470.6 billion.
It accounted for 36.7% of the total and was the largest by country / region.
