Tsukuba Univ: Developing a new wheelchair-reducing the load on standing and sitting
University of Tsukuba:
The University of Tsukuba has developed a new wheelchair using the stand and seating support mechanism.
New type wheelchair: You can stand and sit easily while standing up.
Using the power of a compression spring, it stands up from sitting in a normal chair.
In other words, when sitting down again, we developed a mechanism to store the next standing support in the compression spring.
When standing up, reduce the load on the inner broad muscles of the thigh by about 60% (compared to healthy people).
