Kowa Plant / AIST Robot Innovation Research Center

We have jointly developed a robot walking vehicle with a fall prevention function.

Conventional robot walking vehicle:

Conventional walking vehicles do not have a mechanism to prevent users from falling.

There is a risk of falling from a walking car or falling with the walking car.

This robot walking car:

The developed walking car was designed based on a fall motion simulation.

Equipped with a mechanism to suppress the initial movement of the fall and prevent the fall.

Care recipients: Support safe walking

In nursing homes, wheelchairs are often used when care recipients move.

With the newly developed walking car, caregivers at risk of falling can walk safely.
