Nissan: invests 24 billion yen in South A plant-produces 30,000 new “Navara”

Nissan Motor:
On April 10, we will invest 3 billion rand (approximately 24 billion yen, 1 rand = 8.0 yen) to expand the Roslin plant outside Pretoria, South Africa.
South Africa Nissan Mike Whitfield President:
The company announced that it plans to produce 30,000 new pickup truck “Navara” a year from 2020, and export 12,000 of them to Sub-Saharan African countries.
At our plant,
“NP200” (1 ton)
“NP300” (0.5 tons)
It produces about 35,000 compact pickup trucks annually (2018).
The automotive industry accounts for about 7% of South Africa’s GDP and about 30% of the manufacturing industry.
In South Africa, seven manufacturers, including Nissan and Toyota, are producing cars.
