Ito Electric (IDE): Interview with Jetro
JETRO asks Ito Denki Europe (IDE), a manufacturer of transport modules, about the EU situation (November 29, 2019)
IDE was founded in 1987 as a French company / joint venture in Cruise, northwest of the Central Highlands of France.
In 1996, Ito Denki acquired all the shares of the company and moved to Saint-Pierre, France (mechatronics, a collection of precision equipment and parts manufacturers) in 2002.
Main product: Motor roller
We are processing and assembling the “motor roller and switching module (transport direction: switching in three directions)”.
Motor roller (Note): Applying the principle of “roller” used for pyramid construction
Procurement of important parts and materials, such as motors, from Japan, and cutting and processing electronic parts are incorporated into pipes.
Manufacture and supply products with different lengths and diameters for each customer, and conical rollers for transport lines, etc.
A gear system is adopted to support various cargo weights.

Achieved a global share of over 60%.
European business accounts for one quarter of the world.
In Europe, competitors have struggled before.
Develop new customers, including demand for switching to DC24V conveyors.
Sales have doubled in about three years since 2016.

Major e-commerce distribution warehouses and factories.
Branches opened in UK and Germany in 2007,
In 2019, a technical showroom will be established in the Netherlands,
The company has been promoting sales activities, including expanding sales destinations.
Future tasks:
Introduction of next-generation conveyor control system “idPAC” in Europe,
Procurement of parts and materials in Europe to reduce costs,
It is said that there is no end to improving products and developing new products from Europe.
The Japan Headquarters has also been selected as a 2019 Good Company Award Excellent Company sponsored by the Small and Medium Enterprise Research Center.
