China ESTUN: Acquired German welding robot manufacturer CLOOS: acquired for € 196.07 million

China ESTUN:

August 26, China ESTUN (Head in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province) and Nanjing Feng Electric Machinery Technology (Subsidiary) will acquire 100% of German welding robot manufacturer CLOOS for 196,700,000 euros Announced.

In order to secure funds for the acquisition, China ESTUN will increase its capital to a subsidiary in cooperation with its parent company Nanjing Raishou Special Technology.

CLOOS: German robot manufacturer

Established in 1919, it is the world’s earliest industrial robot manufacturer that developed welding robot technology.

The company is headquartered in Hager, Hesse, Germany, and has 11 subsidiaries and 50 dealers around the world, including China.

In 2018 sales were 144 million euros and net profit was 12.44 million euros.

ESTUN : China’s leading robot manufacturer

Established in 1993, China’s leading robot manufacturer listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

However, compared to manufacturers such as Japan and Germany, it has been delayed due to the technology of core parts such as reducers and servo motors.

Sales growth related to industrial robots

In 2017, it is 2.3 times that of the previous year, and is rapidly expanding at 50.3% in 2018.

Each exceeded the industry average growth rate (68.1% increase, 4.6% increase).
