China: Launch of the Brazilian satellite “CBERS-4A”: Long March 4B rocket / Taiyuan Launch Center

The Chinese Institute of Space Technology (CAST) and the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE) jointly developed the Earth Observation Satellite “CBERS-4A”.
The “Long March 4B” rocket was launched at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi, China.
“CBERS” series:
This is an earth observation satellite for resource survey and environmental monitoring in China and Brazil.
We have developed five CBERS satellites so far, and this is the sixth CBERS-4A.
CBERS-04A: High resolution and delicate images
The CBERS-04A is equipped with a Chinese camera “WPM” and two Brazilian cameras “MUX” and “WFI”.
It will be launched into a lower orbit than the currently operating CBERS-4.
Higher resolution and more delicate images are expected.
The Brazilian government will use this data to monitor changes in the Amazon rainforest and national environment.
