2nd China International Import Expo: (CIIE)

The second China International Import Expo (CIIE), which began in Shanghai on November 5, ended on November 10.

CIIE Secretariat announcement:

More than 3,800 companies and organizations from a total of 181 countries / regions and international organizations exhibited.

The cumulative number of visitors during the exhibition has exceeded 910,000.

Total buyers are about 500,000 (including 7,000 overseas buyers)

Closing amount at CIIE: Estimated

The expected closing price at CIIE is $ 71.13 billion.

This is an increase of $ 13.3 billion compared to 2018 (previous).

Japan ranking:

In Japan, 71 companies and organizations exhibited, and the number of countries / regions was the highest following the previous survey.

JETRO:

Medical equipment / pharmaceutical health: 50 companies / organizations,
Agriculture, forestry and fishery products / food: 108 companies / organizations
We exhibited together as Japan Pavilion.

Japan Pavilion:

The contract amount (including the expected contract amount and the amount signed by the MOU)

¥ 7,220 million in the field of medical equipment and pharmaceutical health,

It was 7,690 million yen in the agriculture, forestry and fishery products and food fields (see table).

This is a significant increase from the previous contract amount of 5.8 billion yen.

Main contracts:

Medical tourism companies: business alliances with major Chinese insurance companies,
Companies dealing with medical care equipment: Projects signed with a Chinese company,
Rehabilitation system: Expected to close in sales projects for nursing homes.
Seafood: Expected to close about 5 billion yen export.
