  1. Successful delivery of 10 km of single photons from trapped ions by optical fiber with newly developed wavelength converter
  2. In the past, trapped ions were not compatible with optical fiber communication wavelengths, and it was a problem that photon loss was very large and it was impossible to communicate over long distances, but photon loss was greatly reduced by wavelength conversion
  3. Expect to use trapped ions for quantum information communication including long distance security communication
