In April 2020, we established the power supply technology “Nano Cap” that can significantly reduce the number and capacity of capacitors.

We are already shipping sample products for operational amplifiers with Nano Cap.

Sample shipments of linear regulator ICs and LED driver ICs are scheduled to begin in 2020.

What is Nano Cap:

In analog circuits

This technology:

Conventionally, the capacitor was externally attached to the output side of the power supply IC.

We have established a power supply technology “Nano Cap ™” that enables stable control even in the smallest nF order of the power supply circuit / external capacitor of automobiles.

Minimal nF order: (Nano farad order: Nano is 10-9)

Conventional technology:

An external capacitor is used in the electronic device mounting / power supply circuit to stabilize the output.

In the case of linear regulator / microcomputer configuration circuit,
Generally, 1μF on the output side of the linear regulator,
A 100 nF capacitor is required on the input side of the microcomputer.
