The Univ of Tokyo, Tokyo Institute of Tech developed a projection mapping that projects images according to moving and deforming objects such as liquids and clothes.
Measure the shape of the object at high speed with near infrared light and change the projected image according to the shape.
Markers and models to identify objects are unnecessary.
Convert costume and texture in real time on the stage.
Both measurement and projection are 500 times per second.
Near infrared light of 3 wavelengths is irradiated from 3 directions and photographed with camera
Calculate from which intensity of reflected light the object surface is facing
