NEC Develops Biometric Device to Identify People with Face Masks

Tokyo, May 14 (Jiji Press)–

NEC Corp. <6701> said Thursday

that it has developed a biometric authentication device that can recognize people even when they are wearing a face mask.

The Japanese electronics company

aims to put the device on sale at full scale by fiscal 2021.
