Even in the event of a disaster, you can watch emergency broadcast programs on your smartphone even if you cannot use the TV due to a power outage. .
“Local 5G”: Terrestrial TV experiment
The meeting was held between NEC Tamagawa Plant / Local 5G Lab and TBS Akasaka Broadcasting Center.
In the experiment, a terrestrial digital TV broadcast was received near a local 5G base station.
MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing):
TBS TV programs were simultaneously distributed from a MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) server installed in a local 5G lab.
Even if you can’t use the TV due to a power outage, you can listen.
There is no load on the carrier line.
TV distribution with lower load than regular network distribution.
Watch terrestrial TV on your smartphone anywhere in the local 5G / area.
It is also OK to run individual commercials for each user.
