K2 mission: Cooperation of space and terrestrial telescope – Discover more than 100 exoplanets

The Univ of Tokyo and the International Research Team of the Natural Science Research Organization Astrobiology Center have been clarified at the K2 mission.

Using the universe / space telescope and the ground / telescope,  investigated 155 candidates for exoplanetary planet.

As a result, it turned out “104 pieces are extraterrestrial planets”.

Among the extra – exoplanets found, there were 3 very short ones with a revolution cycle of 24 hours or less.
