FCVstation : Iwatani introduces a self-contained hydrogen station – already approved in U.S. and Germany

Self-initiated hydrogen replenishment to fuel cell vehicles started
~ Efforts to improve efficiency of hydrogen station operation –

Iwatani Industry Co., Ltd. (Head office: Osaka) started a self-type hydrogen station on Shibakoen (Minato-ku, Tokyo) on 15th October.

It is implemented under the approval of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and it will be the first effort in Japan.

Traditionally, at the hydrogen station, work has been carried out based on the ‘High Pressure Gas Safety Law – Management of Safety Supervisor’.

From now on, if the driver meets the requirement for safety education etc., he can use the self hydrogen type station.

Already, the self hydrogen station is recognized in Germany and California states.
