NTT: Real composition of 4K video in 5G: 5G / AR at the Olympics

At the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics competition venue
Utilizing high-speed communication standard “5G” and augmented reality (AR),
Announced that it will provide a watching service.
Sailing,
swimming,
For golf and 3 sports.
AR and video technology:
With AR and original video technology, it will be possible to watch games from multiple perspectives in real time.
By showing a new form of watching sports, it will lead to the spread of 5G.
Sailing competition:
It uses “Kirari!”, A video transfer technology that realistically reproduces competitions in remote areas.
Combine multiple 4K high-definition images with NTT DoCoMo’s 5G communication.
It will be delivered to a large screen 50 meters wide inside the venue.
swimming:
The AR glass shows the player’s time.
A mechanism to deliver information tailored to the competition with 5G with little delay.
golf:
Allow the spectators to select and enjoy the images of multiple players on their own terminals.
The terminal is expected to be rented to the spectators who come to the venue.
