COVID-19: World layoffs, April 29: Lyft, Bloomin ’Brands

Here are more layoffs tied to the economic impact of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Lyft
San Francisco-based Lyft, Inc. is laying off 982 employees and furloughing an additional 288 people. The layoffs account for 17% of the company’s workforce, Lyft said.
Bloomin’ Brands
Tampa Bay, Florida-based Bloomin’ Brands, the parent company of Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Bonefish Grill, could be laying off staff.
Juul Labs
Juul Labs is poised to cut some workers.
