Records of vaccination with the new coronavirus.

We have developed a new system that allows you to check by simply holding your finger over it.

The development group aims to put it to practical use for use at event venues.

How the system works:

Use the smartphone app.

Register the vaccination certificate you took,
Read and register finger vein information with a dedicated machine,
The two pieces of information are linked and encrypted and stored.
After that,

For terminals equipped with sensors
Just hold the visitor’s finger over
You can easily confirm that you have been vaccinated.
Also used for negative proof:

This system can also be used to prove negative tests.

The time and effort required to confirm the inoculation record can be shortened.

Vaccine certificates at your fingertips

Japanese researchers

have developed a system that lets people use a vaccine passport without having to carry one.

All they will need to do
is hold their fingers over a sensor to get access.

Users can register their certificates on the system using a smartphone app.

They can then get the veins on their fingers scanned with special equipment.

The system encrypts the data and securely stores it on a server.

People can then confirm their vaccination status simply by holding their fingers over a terminal.

It could be used to speed up entry at venues admitting large numbers of people.

The technology was developed by Hitachi, Kajima and other firms in collaboration with Kyushu University.
