Ningde Era New Energy Technology (CATL):
On August 12, the company announced that it will build a new EV battery plant in Debrecen, eastern Hungary.
Production capacity of 100 gigawatt hours (GWh) per year
7.34 billion euros will be invested.
It will be the second plant in Europe after the German plant under construction.
Construction is expected to start in 2022.
Hungarian factory:
It has a site area of 221 hectares and will manufacture battery cells and modules.

The products will be delivered to European automakers.

Capacité de production de 100 gigawattheures (GWh) par an
7,34 milliards d’euros seront investis.
Ce sera la deuxième usine en Europe après l’usine allemande en construction.
La construction devrait démarrer en 2022.

Es wird das zweite Werk in Europa nach dem im Bau befindlichen deutschen Werk sein.
