AGC: NTT DoCoMo, ‘Guest window base station with glass antenna’: For 5G area construction

Jointly developed “Glass Antenna * 1 that can transmit and receive radio waves”.

This will be installed in a building window in Tokyo and will be converted into a base station.

Service area expansion for 4G LTE and mobile phones started on October 1st.

This is the world’s first * 2 provision of a service area through the use of a glass antenna to make a window base station.

Glass antenna: 5G compatible

In the future, 5G glass antennas are being developed for 5G areas.

5G compatible glass antenna development completed in 2019.

The service is scheduled to start in 2020.
