1. Crude Oil Trends

The crude oil import volume in June was 14.33 million kl, down from the previous year, 85.3% compared to the same month the year before. Looking in descending order of import volume,

(1) Saudi Arabia (4.37 million kl, 93.6% compared to the same month of the previous year)

(2) United Arab Emirates (2.62 million kl, 74.4% same)

(3) Kuwait (840,000 kl, 75.8% same)

(4) Iran (710,000 kl, 110.0% same)

(5) Qatar (650,000 kl, 57.1% same).

Incidentally, this month’s dependence on the Middle East was 88.0%, up 3.4 points from the same month last year, exceeding the previous year for eleven consecutive months.

2. Production of fuel oil

Production of fuel oil reached 11.5 million kl, a year-on-year decrease of 91.0%, which was lower than the previous year for 7 consecutive months. As for oil type, jet fuel oil and B · C heavy oil exceeded the same month of the previous year, but gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, light oil and heavy oil A fell below the same month of the previous year.

3. Import and export of fuel oil

The import of fuel oil was 2.12 million kl, down from the previous year, 82.0% compared to the same month of the previous year. Exports were 2.33 million kl, 98.6% of the same month the year before, falling below the previous year for the first time in three months.

4. Domestic sales of fuel oil

Domestic sales of fuel oil fell to 17.22 million kl, a year-on-year decrease of 91.2%, for the fourth consecutive month. In terms of oil type, jet fuel oil and light oil were higher than the same month of the previous year, but gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, A heavy oil and B · C heavy oil fell below the same month of the previous year.

5. Stock of fuel oil

Inventory of fuel oil reached 8,790,000 kl, 93.6% of the same month last year, falling below the previous year for 3 consecutive months. In terms of oil type, the total oil types (gasoline, naphtha, jet fuel oil, kerosene, light oil, heavy oil A and B / C heavy oil) were lower than the same month of the previous year.
