RIKEN, washable ultra-thin organic solar cell 20170919
A joint research group of RIKEN (RIKEN) Emergent Materials Science Research Center (CEMS) succeeded in the development of ultra-thin organic solar cell [1] with stretchability and water resistance that can be laundered.
Solar cells that can be affixed to clothes play an important role as a power source to drive wearable sensors and others for biomaingement monitoring. This research will be published in the UK science magazine “Nature Energy” (dated September 18: Japan time September 19).
