Toshiba: Cancer determination
Using our original microRNA detection technology, we have developed a technology that can detect 13 types of cancer with 99% accuracy.
A blood test, such as a health checkup, determines the presence of cancer from stage 0, which has a high survival rate.
MicroRNA detection technology:
Utilizes Toshiba’s unique electrochemical microRNA detection technology.
It was confirmed at the R & D level that “patients and healthy individuals with 13 types of cancer such as pancreatic cancer and breast cancer” could be comprehensively identified with 99% accuracy within 2 hours.
joint development:
This is a joint research between our company and Tokyo Medical University and the National Cancer Center Research Institute.
In the future, we will proceed with demonstration tests from 2020 for early social implementation.
The company will announce the details of this technology at the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Molecular Biology Society of Japan held in Fukuoka on December 3-8.
