Toray acquires all shares of Alva Sweden AB (ASE), a Swedish airbag garment manufacturer.
Decided to acquire Alva Sweden AB (ASE) and its subsidiary “Alva”.
This is an agreement with AB Anders Westerlind, who owns 100% of ASE.
1． Acquisition background
Toray’s airbag business has a global base.
3 yarns (Japan, Thailand, Mexico),
6 base fabrics (Japan, Thailand, China, Czech Republic, India, Mexico)
The company is actively expanding its business, leveraging the competitiveness of raw yarn and foundation fabrics and a strong production and sales system.
Alva:
Developed airbag sewing business in Europe since 1997.
Our original sewing technology, production know-how, and cost competitiveness are highly evaluated.
2. History and purpose of acquisition
Through this acquisition, the knowledge of Alva will be incorporated into the fabric design.
We will strengthen our product development and proposal capabilities by leveraging the strengths of raw yarn / base fabric / sewing.
