Toray: Providing carbon fiber to German Lilium: UAM (Urban Air Mobility)

On July 14, we signed a business contract for the supply of carbon fiber composite materials for UAM (Urban Air Mobility) in Germany.
Lilium:
The supplier is Lilium, which is based in Germany.
Used in “Lilium Jet” of UAM (Urban Air Mobility), which the company is developing.
It is premised on the supply of carbon fiber composite materials.
Lilium Jet:
Developed with the concept of delivering 5 people within 60 minutes at 300 km/h.
Vertical take-off and landing type UAM, which uses carbon fiber composite material for the fuselage, main wing, rotor blade, etc.
The target for commercial operation is 2025.

The policy is to strategically expand the business base for UAM applications.
