Pickup truck: target for two new models

“GMC Sierra Denari 1500”

“GMC Sierra AT4 1500”

CFRTP is the first in the world to be used for mass production vehicles and structural members.

“Sereebo”:

The world’s first use of thermoplastic resin.
Reduced production tact time to about 1 minute.
Mass production system for automotive parts by CFRTP.

“Carbon Pro”:

A pickup box jointly developed by Teijin with GM.
Carbon fibers are randomly dispersed using polyamide resin as a base material.
We use the product of “Sereebo” series for the panel inside the loading platform.

Advantages of the new model:

Approximately 40% lighter than steel pickup box.
It has about 10 times the impact resistance and is excellent in corrosion resistance.
It can cope with molding of complex design and is easy to recycle.
