Japan, the MLIT commenced demonstration test of freight transportation by Siberian Railway

On 29 August, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held a ceremony for demonstration experiments on freight transport by the Siberian Railway at Yokohama Port.
Mr. Yoshihiro Matsumoto of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Mr. Sergei Golikov of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and Vice Minister of Distribution and others participated.
Results of seven times demonstration experiments will be compiled in a report within 2018 and will be made public.
From mid-May to early June, we made public offerings and seven projects were selected from about 30 companies (see Table 1).
