At a tea event for general consumers, visitors can purchase tickets and sample a wide variety of teas from different countries.

Many visitors look forward to the event, where they can communicate directly with exhibitors.

According to the organizer, the 8th event in 2019, more than 4,000 people visited in 2 days.

Visitor: Japanese tea questionnaire

A questionnaire survey on Japanese tea was given to visitors (113 responses)

Frequency of drinking Japanese tea”:

At least once a week (37.2%)
Results with almost every day (16.8%)
More than half of the respondents said they would drink at least once a week.

Matcha (84.1%),
Sencha (69.0%),
Hojicha (51.3%),
Brown rice tea (46.9%),
Followed by Gyokuro (21.2%).
There are many people who have had Matcha and Sencha, but Hojicha also exceeded 50%.

In fact, there were many visitors at the JETRO booth who wanted to taste hojicha because of the fragrant smell.
