Godiva moves beyond chocolate to open 2,000 cafes
Godiva wants to open 2,000 cafés over the next six years.
The cafés will be all-day affairs that will sell baked goods, coffee, tea, and sandwiches.
Godiva was previously known for its primarily mall-based stores, which sold mostly packaged chocolates intended to be given as gifts.
Now, it wants to be thought of as a café-restaurant like Starbucks.
